Are you the victim of bullying and harassment? Reach out to a Belgium hotline today.

If you’re struggling with someone who uses power, position, strength or popularity to degrade and belittle you, you’re a victim of bullying. If you’re being bullied at home, school, work, or online, you’re not alone. There are 6 helplines in Belgium provided by people who understand how lonely you feel. Consider contacting a helpline if:

  • Others have victimised you through cyber-bullying on social media, gaming platforms and online forums.
  • Someone has made repeated negative comments about your appearance, culture, family, lifestyle or behaviour.
  • You have been threatened or physically harassed by others on a regular basis.
  • A popular or forceful person has told others not to be friends with you.
  • You have been taunted, teased, threatened or harmed by others.
  • You have had rumours spread about you, or frequently been blamed for things you didn’t do.
  • Others have openly excluded you from social groups or activities.
  • You have been embarrassed by the spreading of rumours, whether made up or true.

There are countless ways in which bullies can victimise others. Some are public and overt, while others are private and covert. Although you might feel rejected, self-conscious and afraid, you are not alone. Bullying is never a true reflection of who you are, how you look, or your life’s potential.

The victims of bullying are always innocent, and bullying is never deserved. Although you may feel trapped, alone or incapable, there are people in Belgium who care and can provide you support. Helpline volunteers and counselors will offer you a listening ear and will work through difficult emotions with you.
