Don't suffer in silence. Get in touch with a helpline in Belgium for support with trauma and PTSD

If you have been through a traumatic experience affecting your life, know that you don’t have to go through it alone. Reach out to one of 4 helplines across Belgium. If you aren’t sure if you have PTSD, then read through these common symptoms and see if you can relate:

  • Flashbacks of a traumatic event
  • Experiencing emotions that you went through during the trauma
  • A sensation of emotional numbness
  • Self-harming or destructive behaviour
  • Avoiding places that remind you of a traumatic event
  • Intrusive thoughts about the traumatic event
  • Distracting yourself from horrible memories with work or hobbies
  • Experiencing 'hypervigilance' or extreme alertness

If you have any of these symptoms, reach out for help – you don’t have to be alone in your struggle. There is hope on the horizon and people who understand what you are going through.

Even though going through trauma and PTSD can feel very isolating and scary, there are people in Belgium who are here to help. Sharing how you feel is the first step towards recovery. You don’t have to face your fears alone.

If you are ready to talk to someone about your experiences of trauma & PTSD, you can contact a hotline in Belgium for free and confidential support.
